When I first joined Substack I didn’t want my newsletter to be a “newsletter,” just wanted to write more than the Instagram caption. It’s nice to connect with you through sharing my stories. So there wasn’t much thought into naming this. Yesterday I logged on Pinterest and saw a secret board that I created few years ago, called True and Authentic. It was for a video project to capture the journey to my inner self.
I love that <3 Living in our truth is actually much harder to do than to talk about. From societal pressures and expectations, to family and partners, even our own engrained opinions about who we are and what we want/need... it's a lot to sift through. Sometimes it's even hard to become aware of some of the ways in which we are not living authentically. And then building that courage to live it is another battle. But we can do it! One morning page at a time ;)
